Noob at tuning. Looking into Zemulator, very confused...
Posted by TTkickedin(MA) @ Fri Mar 16, 2012 4:29 pm
Hi
I've never done any sort of tuning, not even an SAFC type of tune. And I am getting no other luck on other forums...Looks like I'm the only one logged in at the moment.
Here's the deal > Goal is 500hp @20psi on GT2560r Turbochargers. Also want to run water/alcohol injection (methanol maybe,) @93 octane, single pop charger for the time being, 740cc JECS injectors, 300 degree fuel rails, standard bore stock engine internals. Godspeed SMIC's, divorced downpipes, test pipes, apexi 'super megaphone jasma exhaust (about to be not jasma with those test pipes!) will be getting NGK platinums with the smaller 35 gap for the tune then stock gap later, (can't remember if that's .035 or .0035,) timing will be set at stock bnumbers mechanically with the hopes that the tune will correct accordingly. stock fuel pump (unless i should upgrade/ideas?)
I need to know where to start guys. I'm at a dead end in the project and I really can't afford to pay Dent Sport Garage what they're asking to tune, any shop for that matter. I'm willing to learn how to tune myself provided someone can give me a base map to start with and how to edit the cells and variables. I don't know if I should use a pocket emulator or if i should get a Nistune, or a zemulator. I need affordable options and would love if i can get a free map close to what I would need with some advice on how to tune that map. Any additional information for my build, let me know and I'll edit.
If someone can help me out, or if someone comes across this post, please email me at either elijean@bostonfinancial.com or at gary-eli.jean@live.com. I'm also on Nicoclub as TTkickedin, you can send me a PM.

Nismo 555cc Injectors running rich
Posted by 00Evan @ Wed Aug 31, 2011 9:16 pm
I just finished putting my car back together with 2.5" intercooler piping, dual mafs (no translator or S-AFC so only one is metering), and Nismo 555cc injectors. I'm trying to get a base tune sorted out and keep having problems with it running super rich. I started with a K value of 420 and have been slowly bumping it down to try and lean it out. It's getting better but I'm down to 390 and it is still running rich. Fuel pressure is set at 39psi.
Should I keep bumping down the K value?

HKS VPC Chip VH001B
Posted by REDSKY @ Tue Jul 12, 2011 1:38 pm
Hi All.
I have a HKS VPC device (Vein Pressure Converter). It converts from MAP to MAF. But it has VH001A chip inside, that means that the chip is for Z31 NA as I understand. But I need the chip for Z32 TT, per HKS docs it is VH001B. Who have this chip or BIN file for it please?
