Hello dear turbo of friends,

after long looking for I found this forum, in which I found a large quantity of knowledge
regarding Turbos.

Briefly to me: Sorry for my bad English. I come from Germany and try with Google spoke
Tool the texts to translate. But I hope that it is not an obstacle mutually to help.

To the car: I drive a Chrysler PT Cruiser GT 2.4 with stage 3 turbo from the Dodge SRT4.
The PT has now according to achievement test stand 360PS and 520 Nm by a water methanol injection.

And now to my problem. I drove unfortunately briefly only with 98 Oktan. Was however already enough,
in order to drive a damage to the engine. Engine is totally broken. Turbo unfortunately also.
Now never drive under 100 Oktan. From errors one is to learn. The engine I repaired again and run also again.
With the turbo I have still another problem. The same turbo as new costs very much money.
Unfortunately I do not find anywhere spare parts for this.
It is a Mitsubishi turbo with the designation TD05HR-15GK2-10cm2. So, and now to my actual question.
I do not know myself 100% with the turbo designation out. I found a TD05HR-20G. Would this turbo fit 100%
into my exhaust housing??? If, then I would be pleased much!!! Because then I would save much money and
a performance increase would have I also. But over the performance increase we can still converse later.
It is important whether this turbo fits at all into my exhaust housing, whatever exhaust elbow union is simultaneous.

I hope, it can understand me and also help me.

Many greetings from Germany

Mark Scholz

Hi,

I think you want to put the new turbo's center section and compress housing onto the old turbo's exhaust/turbine housing, it should fit considering the turbine sides are the same.

Hope this helps,

hi,

correctly, the group of central tracts would like completely with compressor housing to mine existing exhaust-gas turbine housing cultivate.
The designation TD05H designates nevertheless the design of the exhaust side.
“R” in the TD05HR - designation designates nevertheless that it is a turbo, that differently turns than the other Turbos.
The Mitsubishi EVO8 and EVO9 have also the same Turbos in it and turns also differently (one recognizes by the turbine case and by the compressor housing).
Thus should it fit nevertheless, or?
I am not yet safe me in one. At the end of the turbo-designation stands often still 10,5 which meant that. Refers to the exhaust side or to the compressor side?

Bye Mark

The 10 cm^2 refers to the turbine side, specially the cross sectional area in the scroll. But as long as the turbine sides are same: TD05H, it should fit in the old turbine housing.

ok, as looks, remains for me nothing else to try out as it.
I would have to order myself for example with www.turbochargers.com a turbo and to let him to Germany send.
The problem is then only, if the turbo should not fit nevertheless, would have I him back to send.
Whether “turbochargers” with it agrees, I do not know.
The risk I will probably have to die.
