Hey,
I own an exa i am currently turboing, im looking at tuning the stock ca18de ecu (uses a 27c128 eprom) ecu is number 27 (A11-A70-A46) its has 4 black plugs instead of the one blue bolt on one, will a silvia ca18det (ecu 99) bin work in this ecu, and does anyone have a ca18de bin and adr file for this ecu?

my email is scottblack@gmail.com if anyone would like to help with the files.
thanks in advance

Scott

You must rewire the loom if you want to run a ca18det ecu on the car - been there - done that - even had it running of an s13 sr20det ecu as well for a laugh

you cant run a ca18det rom in the exa ca18 ecu

I had a wiring diagram and pinout for the ecu's

you could chip the early model ecu - but its worth upgrading to a later model ecu - they are faster - better fuel control and have more features...

have fun

yeah ive already upgraded the wiring to take a s13 ecu to, yet i was hoping i could use the old ecu and modify the timing maps, yet use the s13 fueling,

does anyone have a stock ca18de s13 bin then?

nope - cant use fuel maps from the s13 ecu in the exa ecu - different K values so the maps wont work...

If your going to chip the exa ecu - the eprom will have to come out of it then
if your going to be modifying the eprom - you will have an eprom writer
if you have a writer - by default it is a reader

read the factory exa ecu chip when you pull it out of the old ecu Smile

And you wouldnt want the timing maps to be used from the eca ecu - its for a higher compression engine than a turbo - and it wouldnt be a long term result if you just ran factory NA timing maps on a turbo engine....

have fun with the project - sorry - i dont have the standard rom file anymore...
