In addition the automatic has different exhaust cams.. Nissan did this to have the automatic trans last longer even tho the RE4R03a transmission is usually good up to 370 plus hp..
A little upgrade on it and your good for 600 hp ... |

Hi,
It was the intake cam that was changed wasn't it to suit fast spool and make bigger touqe curve but less 20 hp uptop, with cam + turbo differences.
also what mods to auto trans for 600hp+ , when I got mine rebult they upped the line pressure - but not sure how that did that, but the shifts are fast and solid, what else should be modded on it appart from a alc.
Cheers

| The auto can be made into a very solid trans for HP.. changing to a hi performance rebuild kit will get it done.. Clutch plates, solenoid rebuild, etc |

Dude, LEVELTEN.com is where you want to go for you auto trans kit...TRUST ME!! I installed mine and it made a world of difference. Now jus to warn you they will tell you that you need to send your valve body to them to recalibrate it. they also increase the line pressure. i have not do that yet, but I have heard that it make it even more ridiculous!!!
