Hey everyone. I have a sort of unusual situation. I am designing and manfacturing a complete custom car and using the VG30DETT engine for power.

Because of the custom nature of my project, I will be manufacturing a fuel cell of my own and will not be able to use the stock Z32 fuel pump. Now I know from my research that the TT fuel pump operates at multiple speeds and is controlled by a separate controller.

My question is this...If I'm using a stock JDM TT ECU, will I need to do anything fancy to get a Walbro or Bosch pump (for example) pump to work? I.E. does the z32 fuel controller relay some information back to the ECU that I will have to emulate to achive correct fuel mapping?

Do I need the FP controller to satisfy the ECU or can I eliminate it altogether and run a sufficiently high flow/pressure inline pump?

Thanks for your help,
Charlie

The speed comtroller was only to reduce noise / prolong pump life. There will be a pump run signal from the ECU you can use to turn the pump on and off

Excellent thank you.

New question. I have not yet been able to find a dimensioned picture or actual technical diagram of the VG engine.

Have you ever come across something like that?

I'm just going to keep asking questions. I hope you don't mind.

That is extremely helpful however I can't find any dimensional information. Thanks very much.

This is just about the only external dimension info I was able to find.
