I just made a run of little switcher boards to let you run multiple bins on one 28-pin dip footprint. They use socketed PLCC-32 flash chips with the same pinout as the now-unavailable 29c265. For a PC board, PLCC socket, 4 resistors, narrow sip headers and an SST 29EE010 I'm asking $17.00 shipped in the US. You'll have to provide your own switch. If you want me to include a 10-position BCD switch, add $3.00. I'd rather not assemble them, but if you want me to, add $10.00.
The chips I'm including, the 29EE010, works just like a 29C256 for programming, with one exception - 128-byte pages instead of 64. If you have a Willem, just set it for 29C256 and change the page size to 128 bytes. Then program each 32k bin in turn. Works great.
You can also use 29C010, 29C020, or 040 for an insane 16 bins! any 512k byte and up PLCC-package rom will work great. Oh, and they're cheaper than 29C256s |
