Hey, I am currently re programming an r32 gtst ecu to run an rb25det r33 engine, I have transposed all the fuel and ig maps, ttp min ttp max vq map and injector null injection time which is all good; however i get the k value, and see that the stock r33 bin uses the value 33ff (13311 dec) which seems a little high compared to the calulated value of 00BC(188 dec), I assume that the r33 uses a differnt k constant system, so just a quick confirmation on which one to use when i am reprogramming this ecu would be great and if anyone knows maybe a reason why the r33 uses a much larger constant.
thanks |

may not be correct....but I'd say youd use the stock RB20 K, value, then adjust it as you would with a normal inj/MAF upgrade.....just pretend youre adding a RB25DET MAF and RB25DET injectors to a RB20 _________________ 1970 Datsun 1600 CA18DET Project

yep, copy the VQ map over, then adjust the k value to suit the "new" MAF _________________ 1970 Datsun 1600 CA18DET Project

| sweet as, do you think the r33 bin with the k value or 33ff is for the r33 vq map? perhaps it is? is there a formula on how to set the k value to that particular vq map/ maf? p.s sorry for all the questions i am still sorta learning cheers |

I would completely ignore the R33 k value!
the K value is specific to the ECU, and you adjust it when you change the injectors AND/OR the MAF that the ECU was originally designed for.
so in your case.....the R32 ECU expects to see a RB20 MAF and Rb20 injectors.......your "changing them" ( not really, but changing them from what the ECU thinks ).
So look around on this forum and find the formula for changing MAF and injectors......and adjust it accordingly _________________ 1970 Datsun 1600 CA18DET Project

I am also trying to set up a R33 GTS-T with an R32 ECU and suitable chip. How is your project going?
I have much engine work to do yet, so I have not had the beats out in anger, but I have had the engine running with this set up, and it ran fine, and revved eagerly- albeit with no load!!!!
If you get the time I would love to hear how things are going for you... |

Hey guys, i know this is way old, but just wondering how you got on? I'm in the process of the same thing - would be good to know if it is that simple, and what the new K value turned out to be???
Also, is this possible on series 1 and 2 rb25det's?
And did you have to switch the injector 4 & 6 wires? |
