hey guys and gals if there are any here
i stay in South Africa, and drive a Nissan Sabre GXi, has the SR20de, aka Sunny in Japan, aka Pulsar SSS in Aus, before is start messing around with the ecu i would like to backup the original bin first, i currently use datascan, but when i try to dump the bin on the computer it "hangs", with only like 2kb pulled... any suggestions why? or what i should rather use to get the full file?

What program are you using to dump the memory image from the ECU?
What memory address are you starting/finishing with?
Both N14 and B13 are 32K ROM images so they should read from 0x8000 - 0xFFFF |

i currently use blatz NissanDatascan, purchased it merely for the fact that you get the consult cable with, http://www.blazt.biz/products/datascan.php, it has a function to “backup” the ROM,
I used the default setting on the application,
Start – 0000
Stop – 7FFF
Just due to the fact that I didn't know the start and end ranges, but will test these range, THX  |

shot thx, still have to try the "new" start and stop address, but will give these apps a go as well
