For the HOT START function, I'm in need of disabling it or otherwise setting it to a point in which it doesn't cause any effect on the HOT START of an engine. Here, the computer reads the CHTS and the length of the last engine shutdown. When the right conditions are set, ie. hot engine and restart after about 15 minutes, the ECCS controls the vaccum pressure on the fuel pressure regulator in order to enrich the fuel for about a 1/2 minute after start. During this time, the engine is very difficult to start and maintain a steady idle until the function times out. This turns out to be a problem when all the idle controls are removed from the engine, leaving the position of the throttle body to control the idle. There is no intention to replace the idle controls as well. I have considered the idea of resetting the computer each time the engine is shut off, but that will reset by BASE A/F adjustments. Any suggestions on where to start looking within the software?
