From memory the pinouts are closest to CA18 ecu's, I'll have to ask a mate tomorrow to check. He owned an auto A31 with RB20DET, which was converted to RB25DET manual then sold. They don't have consult either.

correct, no consult. like darkhalf said, should be almost same as r32 (i think u can even put in a r32 ecu to give a cefiro consult capabilities?)

The A31 shares the same Hitachi part number circuit board as the HCR32. Hence why the pinouts are the same. A31 which are 27C128 (earlier) have no consult. If you have a later on with 27C256 (late) then this will potentially have consult code in it (since rest of circuit board supports consult lines)

I've only done Type 1 boards so far for earlier A31 model ECUs (no consult)

The one I have is a BK 23710 11U60. I can't tell if its 128 or 256 because its a Mines, and so its covered in goop.

Anyone know if this might be 256k? or any way to read the rom?

My A31 is 1992 made, original RB20DE Auto swap to RB20DET Manual, the harness is original with consult port. All late model RB20E, RB20DE, RB20DET A31 have consult port. This is sure.
