A question for the members with experience of a few different systems on Z32s. Which is the best boost controller for stock turbos and which is the best for bigger turbos? _________________ An old dog learning new tricks. I liked the new electric start cars. |

| Profec B is simple and efficient to use. The spec 2 is even better. |

Spec 2 is a pita to tune. Find an original Profec B if you can. _________________ 90 300zx TT |

Thanks for that. I have been looking around and it seems that some controllers aren’t much good for the ZX. I want my money to be spent on a good well-suited one that will work with my turbo upgrade when I can afford it. _________________ An old dog learning new tricks. works for me - you can program 4 boost settings + a warning setting. If you hit the warning setting you can set it up to pull back boost by x %. Bessides this its got a gain control that lets you fine tune the controller for max response vs minimal spike. Will control up to 2.5 bar . more than enough IMO also it fits in the clock location

I myself tried the Profec B Spec 2 and it never worked correctly from day one(faulty solenoid), so I opted for the easy solution. A Joe P MBC. I love how people say that you can't use a MBC on a Z because it will spike and the vaccum lines are too long. I see a 1 psi spike maybe, and it only cost $45.00. _________________ Speed>Beauty |

Blitz controllers work very well on Z's and are my personal favourites.
You can use the older DSBC's which are still more advanced and easier to configure then the Greddy Profec B spec 2's
Although the Profec B (spec 2) works fine, it can take some time to get it to work right.

hi , i have tried the greddy profec b spec 1 very good, and very easy to use. I have also tried the hks evc 3 & 4, i find these safer to use as it has over boost warning, and it shows the amount of boost you are running. it has a low & high setting, and also a trigger button for overtaking ect. _________________ you can with a nissan |

| I have a Spec II and although I understand it can be difficult to dial-in it is very responsive when you get it right. I found that doing a little reading and understanding what each adjustment does is very important in getting it to work properly. |
