I've got a z31 that I reprogrammed to accept TT injectors. Anyway its all up and running quite well except for when I hit the gas hard. It will accelerate go fine for a second, the afr will jump lean and the engine will hesitate for a second, and then the afr comes back to normal and the car keeps accelerating. Feels like it might be doing it when the car stops using the o2 sensor. Any ideas, suggestions? Other than the acceleratiion problem the car runs great. I know its common to run lean for a second while the ecu catches up but this is more than it should be.

it's not very normal for the ecu to run lean at all.

stinky, would you be interested in coming up and using our dyno to tune your car and swap ideas and what not??

give me a call @ the shop

I'm a bit poor to pay for dyno time and I already have a wideband kit installed and logging a bunch of stuff. Matt, do you ever got to the z meets on saturday night? I'm probably going out saturday night and also to the meet at fort desoto this sunday. Let me know if youre going and we can meet up.

Sounds like a lack of acceleration enrichment. Not sure if the ECCS has that function, but typically there is a deltaTPS enrichment to smooth out transients. If that table is available, and you know where it is, try free-revving the engine (in neutral) and messing with the enrichment level. Since the engine won't ever accelerate much faster than it does in neutral, that's the best place to do the tuning.
